Color Meanings

Colors can help portray a certain emotion or desire, varying from situation to situation, and help someone accentuate their cause bracelets.  Here are some common color references.

White – White is a common color to symbolize peace, purity and goodness.  Often charities and hospitals use white to depict cleanliness and service.  White can also symbolize purity, faith and safety.  Frequently angels are depicted wearing white, so it is very comforting to those in hard situations. 

Gray – Gray is seen as a neutral color.  It is often seen as balanced and cool.  Occasionally, gray gives the feeling of moodiness or formality.  Depending on the shade of gray, it can lend itself to emotions similar to white or black. 

Metallic Silver – Silver is similar to gray; but as it is more of a "shiny" color, it often evokes more lively and playful emotions.  Often silver denotes a modern or sleek feeling.  It can also symbolize riches and elegance. This is a common custom wristband color choice.

Metallic Gold – Gold is usually used to portray wealth, illumination and wisdom.  Also, gold is used to symbolize high quality.

Caroline Blue, Royal and Navy – Blue is a very calming color.  Trust, loyalty and wisdom often accompany blue.   It frequently offers the feeling of depth and stability, calming the emotions.  Blue is also very masculine; regularly, it is used to celebrate baby boys.  Lighter blues offer health, understanding and softness; while darker shades represent knowledge and power.

Purple – Purple offers the stability of blue with the energy of red.  Most often, purple is associated with royalty and symbolizes power, luxury and ambition.  Light shades of purple are often seen as feminine and adolescent.  They are often favored by children. 

Kelly and Forest – Green is the color of nature, thus symbolizing growth, harmony and fertility.  It is restful and offers stability and endurance.  Darker greens often refer to ambition, such as the US Army.

Yellow – Yellow is most-often associated with sunshine.  It is used to evoke happiness and joy and show intellect and energy.  Yellow can regularly symbolize honor and loyalty. 

Orange – Orange is a combination of red and yellow.  Thus, allowing it to have energetic and happy implications.  Orange is often portrayed as a "hot" color for custom wristbands and represents enthusiasm, curiosity, determination, and encouragement.  Like red, it is very visible and is often used to attract attention to something. 

Pink – Pink often signifies romance and love.  As a softer version of red, it lends itself to feminine qualities and passiveness.  Often pink is used for baby girls and spring.

Red, Cardinal and Maroon – Red is a very passionate color.  Many see it as being bold and energetic.  It usually depicts high emotion and power.  It has also been noted that red can increase human metabolism and blood pressure in certain situations.  In addition, red is used in leadership and courage situations.  Finally, red is highly visible and therefore is used for road signage and quick-decision situations.

Brown – Brown is most often seen as a natural, earth color.  It is repeatedly seen as warm a neutral, offering itself compatible with many other colors.  Emotions associated with brown include wholesomeness, steadfastness and dependability.  Frequently associated with chocolate, brown encourages the appetite and offers comfort.

Black -- Black is occasionally associated with elegance, formality and power.  It is also a mysterious color which is frequently associated with fear, death, and evil.  Often it has negative connotations.  Black can also give the feeling of depth and perspective but is usually used sparingly.  When combined with other power colors (red or orange), black gives a very aggressive indication.
