Make Your Own Wristband

There are many ideas out there for the trendy wristbands.  Every company from Nike to Lance Armstrong's charity has taken advantage of their inexpensive, popular nature.  But, big business isn't the only avenue for custom wristbands.  Why not make your own?  Here are some suggestions to make a wristband that is truly yours.  Thus, adding to your style and being an individual at the same time.

Be an individual.  Many companies that make wristbands offer single bracelet ordering.  Using such services makes each bracelet unique to the creator.  Make your own wristband by customizing color, phrase, images and even texture if you want.  This could be a fun project for a single person, or a member of a group that wants to start a trend. 

Party favors.  It's always fun to throw a party, but sometimes thinking of new and inventive games and favors can be hard.  If you're looking for something outside the same old same old, think about this.  What if each guest took home a wristband to remember the great time they had?  The host could customize the wristband to sync with the theme of the party, or use it as an activity at the party.  Perhaps each guest could design a wristband and then have a "Make your Own Wristband" contest to see whose is the most popular.  Then, the host could order the bands and pass them out later. 

Company advertising.  What business doesn't want a little easy marketing?  Sure, lots of people out there have wristbands, but do they have your wristband?  It would be simple to design and order wristbands for your employees or even to pass out to customers.  Making your own wristband is inexpensive and easily customized.  Plus, the more that are ordered, the cheaper each wristband is. 

Club membership.  Starting a club is a great section to add to your resume.  Wristbands would be an excellent joining incentive to offer.  Being the club president would make it easy to design the wristbands to suit the club, and it would enhance a feeling of being a group.  Each member could even design there own within certain standards set by the club as a whole.  Plus, the wristbands could be used for fundraising, should the need arise.

Family reunions.  It's fun to get together with extended family.  Often, there are t-shirts offered for games and competitions.  It would be so simple to make wristbands instead; less laundry, more accessible, and definitely easier to pack!  Each individual family could make their own or the group as a whole could have matching wristbands.  Using personalized wristbands would definitely catch the eye of the "younger" generation and maybe even pique the interest of the "older" generations. 

BFF's.  Back in the day, it was common to see a pair of friends each wearing "half" of a necklace; it's been a while since that was in vogue.  However, now there are many more options.  Any best friend group could make their own wristbands and wear them as a sign of their friendship.  Whether it was a pair or a group, wristbands would be ideal.  Especially if the group were to grow; more wristbands could be easily ordered and everyone included. 

Making your own wristbands is fun, inexpensive, popular and trendy.  Each wristband can be customized in color, design, image and texture.  There are so many options out there; it's hard to resist such an appealing opportunity.  Not to mention finger rings, key chains, jump drives and all the other similar products those companies offer.  Designing something of your very own is also a fulfilling adventure and can even be used to make a little extra cash.  Brainstorm areas you could use such a tool in and go for it!
