Scoring Controversy Looms Over Rubber Wristband

In sporting news, a rubber wristband has been recently blamed for interrupting a soccer game. Apparently, a player was asked to remove the wristband during the game. As he left to remove it, the other team scored. Reported on ThisIsLincolnshire.com : “Aside from Norwood's shot, Anyon had very little to do other than pick the ball out of his net after just two minutes when Curtis McDonald opened the scoring. It was a controversial goal given that Tony Sinclair was off the pitch at the time having been told to remove a wristband by referee Ross Joyce. Soccer Rubber Wristband As Jean Christophe filled in at right-back, the Frenchman got caught underneath a long ball in the box which allowed McDonald to head past Anyon. Lincoln manager Steve Tilson was not amused by the incident, branding the decision to make Sinclair leave the field as "crazy". And Anyon said the officials were to blame because they should have ensured he had taken it off before kick-off. "I don't know what the referee was doing because the officials at the start of the game are there to check if you are wearing anything you should not be," he said. "He had a rubber well-being band on and he told him he had to take it off and to leave the pitch. "For me, he should not have been let on the pitch with it on. "You can look at it and say Tony was not there for the goal, but I am going to stick up for him and say it's the officials' job to make sure there is no jewellery being worn.” Do you think he should have had to remove the wristband?
